14.4 Key Management and Loss of Access

ARX is a non-custodial ecosystem, meaning users control their own cryptographic keys. Loss of access to these keys may result in permanent loss of funds or accounts.

Risks include

• Misplacing seed phrases or recovery credentials.

• Device failure or unauthorized access.

• Lack of secure key backups.

Mitigation

ARX provides educational resources and optional recovery mechanisms such as social recovery or encrypted cloud backups. However, ultimate responsibility for key management lies with the user.
